Wide-5 is a new range of products from Fosseway Performance designed to meet the specific needs of the classic Air Cooled Volkswagen and Porsche 356 models
Due for launch in 2015 – A comprehensive selection of brake conversions which will feature:
- Four pot T6 aluminium calipers
- Solid and vented disc options
- Lightweight aluminium hubs
- 4×130, 5×112, 5×130 and 5×205 stud patterns
- EBC Ultimax brake pads
- Stainless steel braided brake hoses
- Zero offset change*
- No permanent modifications required
The Wide-5 brake kits will deliver vastly superior stopping power and are designed to work with a wide range of original and aftermarket wheels. Initially kits will be available for the following vehicles:
VW Type 1 1968 0n (Beetle with Ball joint suspension)- VW Type 1 1302 / 1303 (McPherson strut suspension)
- VW Type 2 1964-67 (Late Split Screen Van)
- VW Type 2 1968-70 (Early Bay Window Van
- VW Type 2 1971-79 (Late Bay Window Van)
Further kits are planned, allowing solid or vented discs with four pot calipers to be fitted to all of the popular air-cooled VW and Porsche 356 models.
Master cylinder conversion kits will also be available for use when converting from early single circuit drum brakes to disc brakes.
* Vented disc kits for vehicles using the 5×205 stud pattern will have an offset change of @ 6mm
